It is by far the most ambitious design that I have come up with, a free standing DNA strand supporting glass treads with a structural glass balustrade. Being a draughtman all my stairs are designed with fabrication in mind, as I aim to manufacture one in the near future.

Proposed Porcelanosa Stair

The second of 2 renders for a forthcoming book to celebrate 35 years of staircase designed and fabricated by the company I work for.
This is the design we proposed to the porcelanosa tile company, and not accepted (Just as well really as it is a prototype design which works fine in domestic situations, but possibly not in public!). It makes a good render none the less. Some horrible looking stair was made in its place!
Added furniture in which will probably be cropped in advertising, but adds something to the scene.
Viz, vray and photoshop used
Composited background in (guess where you would have to be too this view?). This is the dodgyist bit IMO. C&C welcome
Modelled in Viz. Rendered in vray. A little Post work in Photoshop
Comments are welcome, although I realise the building is fairly bland (in an effort to highlight stair)
